As a follow up to the initial chaos cross, the 2.0 version consists of 17 different woods. It’s amazing how so many different woods, with different grain patterns, colors and sizes can compliment each other into a stunning cross. Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Handcrafted large wooden wall cross
Solid wood construction consisting of laminated strips of wood in an end grain "chaotic" configuration. These crosses were created by repeatedly laminating the woods, cutting them up and then gluing them again. Seven "glue ups" were completed for each cross.
Made from walnut, maple, ash, red oak, purple heart, padauk, sapele, cherry, mahogany, hickory, bloodwood, wenge, zebrawood, tiger wood, bass wood, cedar and red grandis woods.
Finished with polycrylic and paste wax buffed with “0000” steel wool to preserve the natural wood colors and provide a smooth finish.
No dyes or stains were used
